Hamid Payman is an internationally trained legal professional with experience in Afghanistan and Canada. He completed the Global Professional Master of Laws (GPLLM) at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law, and has successfully completed the National Committee on Accreditation (NCA) requirements and the Practice Readiness Education Program (PREP). He is currently a lawyer licensing candidate and is eager to provide mentorship to internationally trained lawyers and law students through Canadian Community Justice (CCJ).

Before coming to Canada, Mr. Payman served as a Provincial Court Judge within Afghanistan's justice system and as a Human Rights Officer with the Afghanistan Independent Human Rights Commission (AIHRC), where he advocated for access to justice and the protection of human rights. In Canada, he has gained experience in legal support roles with several law firms, with a focus on civil litigation, immigration law, and client services.

Mr. Payman is passionate about promoting access to justice, protecting the public, and advancing the rule of law. His primary interest is immigration law, while he continues to expand his knowledge in other areas of legal practice. He is fluent in English and Persian (Farsi/Dari), and has reading and writing proficiency in Pashto and Arabic. Through his work with Canadian Community Justice, Mr. Payman is committed to supporting diverse communities by providing legal education, advocacy, and access to justice.

Mr. Ramizpoor is an Afghan legal scholar, academic, peace advocate, and human rights professional with more than three decades of experience in legal education, human rights, and the promotion of the rule of law. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Islamic Jurisprudence and Law from Kabul University in 1990 and served as a lecturer in the Faculties of Sharia and Law at Kabul University from 1991 to 2007.

Mr. Ramizpoor has completed advanced postgraduate studies in Good Governance and Sharia at the University of Birmingham and International Human Rights Law at the University of Nottingham. In 2018, he obtained a Master of Arts in Gender and Women's Studies from Kabul University through a United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)-supported academic program.

From July 2007 to March 2022, Mr. Ramizpoor served as a Human Rights Officer with the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA). In this role, he worked closely with civil society organizations, human rights defenders, media representatives, and peace advocates to promote and protect human rights throughout Afghanistan.

Mr. Ramizpoor continues to collaborate with international organizations, law firms, academic institutions, Afghan civil society organizations, and human rights defenders on initiatives that advance human rights, peacebuilding, democracy, and the rule of law. Through his work with Canadian Community Justice (CCJ), he is committed to promoting access to justice, public legal education, and support for diverse communities. He is fluent in English, Dari (Persian/Farsi), Pashto, and Arabic to serve our multicultural society.

Mr. Shefaju is an accomplished legal professional, educator, and legal operations specialist with extensive experience in legal practice, judicial service, legal education, and public administration in Afghanistan and North America. He holds a Bachelor of Laws from Kabul University and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Comparative Law from the University of Washington School of Law. He has also completed advanced legal studies in the U.S. legal system, legal ethics, alternative dispute resolution, and transnational law, including an internship with the Law Library of Congress in Washington, D.C.

Throughout his career, Mr. Shefaju has served as a Judge of the First District Court in Kabul, Legal Advisor to the Attorney General of Afghanistan, Legal and Case Management System Advisor with the Justice Sector Support Program (JSSP), and Head of the Legal Department of Qalbe-Asia Cultural and Social Services Association (QACSSA). He has also taught law at Kabul University, Kardan University, and Dawat University, delivering courses in criminal law, international criminal law, criminology, human rights, and women's rights.

In the United States of America, Mr. Shefaju works as a legal operations manager at IPS Inc. in California, supporting corporate legal affairs, contract management, and litigation processes. He is committed to promoting access to justice, strengthening the rule of law, and advancing legal education and community service. He is fluent in English, Dari/Persian, French, Pashto, and Urdu, enabling him to serve diverse communities effectively through his work with Canadian Community Justice.
